Colten is Five

Well yesterday was Coltens Birthday he is now five years old!! We haven't done anything yet. Robert was working and Taylor was at scouts so we will celebrate on Friday when everyone can join in on the fun. I did make him brownies for his cake so he could at least blow out his candles. I still remember the day he was born. It was a planned C-Section due to the fact that he wanted to come out butt first. This was his first school picture and he pulled this silly face. I don't think he knew exactly what to do LOL! Happy Birthday Colten and I cant wait for the next five years.

Funny things I have been E-mailed

This first one is so funny and true on how differently men and women think. A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart. The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans,' he replies.'Put them back, we can't afford them,' demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping. A few aisles further on, the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in their cart. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband. It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful, replies the wife. Her husband retorts: So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the> price. On the PA system: Cleanup needed on aisle 25, we have a husband down. I love this next one. In a trial, a southern small-town prosecutor attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly women to the stand. He approached her and asked, Mrs Jones, do you know me? She responded, why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think your a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you. The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, Mrs. Jones do you know the defense attorney? She again replied, why yes I do. I've known Mr. Bradley Since he was a youngster, too. He's lazy bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He cant build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes I know him. The defence attorney nearly died. The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quite voice, said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair!" Ok I will do more as I get them.

Just for fun

Well my kids have been taking the camera and taking pictures of all kinds of stuff Its kinda funny to see what they end up with. Here are just a few of these pictures.

They got these Lincoln logs for Christmas and they have been building all kinds of stuff with them. This is Taylor's Cabin not bad.
Carson had to help me make a cake and this is what happened I thought I was going to die laughing.
Here is that broken ball again on Taylors head! Yes he is trying to look cool.
The story behind these next pictures is really funny. I hadn't seen our dog Sammy for awhile, so I went looking around and this is what I found. She wanted what was left inside of this container. She got her head in just fine but could not get it back out. It was so cute cause when she heard my voice her tail would just start wagging but she would not move. She just patiently waited for me to get done taking the pictures. She is such a brat!!

Just a few random pictures from new years weekend.

This first picture is of all the grand kids (minus Taylor & Mike) With Great Grandma & Grandpa Peterson. We did this picture over new years weekend at G-Ma Hunts house. It was so fun that weekend the whole family was there. It was really good to see my oldest sister Jenny and her new baby boy.
Carson went out to help Grandpa feed the Chickens. He would not go inside with out being held. He was so scared of the chickens cause he has been attacked by one before. To say the least it was not the most pleasant experience for him!

This last picture is of Carson with a broken rubber ball on his head as a hat. It was so funny when he ran cause the ball would move on his head. I thought I would put some cute pictures to liven my blog up so enjoy!

My new year resolution

Well its a new year and a good time to make some huge changes in my life. First off why do we always wait for a new year to realize we need to make some changes in our lives? I'm sure no one knows this about me but I fight depression everyday, Ive done this since I was in Elementary School. I have never felt worthy and have always hated myself. So though out my life I have always tried to make everyone around me happy and put others first and put up with a lot of stuff from others. Ive been in abusive relationships and had my ex-husband cheat on me more time than I can count. The most devastating was when he paid a whore three months after I had had my oldest son Taylor. In my mind I felt that if put up with all of this it would make some one love me. So I asked myself, Hows it working for you? Not so well!! Well this last year has been another really hard one for me. It seems like every time I turned around something was breaking on my house, vehicles, or I'm being dragged back in court by my ex husband. My little sister says If I didn't have bad luck I would have any luck. Things have got really hard because of the economy and Roberts hours being cut. Our income has been cut in half. We have learned to pinch our pennies like everyone else at this point. To say the least this has been a really hard year for me. I wont go into any more detail of the past year due to the fact that it is over and done and its time to start a fresh new year. So to the point of this blog. This year I am going to go skydiving, reconnect with old friends and really try to make new friends, get in shape, eat healthier, be more active with my kids again, and do more with Robert. This year I will be 32 and I am going to start living for me and making me happy. Like the saying goes "If moms not happy ain't no one happy". I have always done for everyone else and have always neglected myself and my wants and needs. This year is all MINE!! Don't get me wrong I will not forget about others in this process but I need to be happy for once. I have lost myself over the years like a lot of moms do. So I need to rediscover myself. I have always had low self esteem when it comes how I look and this year I will tell myself every morning I am beautiful and worth more. I refuse to let my depression and low self esteem win. I am going to conker this and come out on top and be a better person for it. So to close this I am wishing everyone the best of luck on their goals this year and I truly hope no one forgets to make themselves happy first and never lose who you truly are. It has been a long hard road to get to this point in my life and I wouldn't change a thing cause it has made me who I am today. My mind has been opened and I'm not so vanilla about things. I am stronger and not afraid of what life will throw my way, cause I know I can handle it with a smile. Thank you for reading and I hope I can inspire someone to go for their goals.

I'm so sorry it took me so long to get this post up. We had such a good Christmas this year. Santa had no problem finding our house! The kids didn't get much but what they did get was really neat. They got a WII with the help of Grandma Albert's. They got some Nerf Guns and Air soft Guns (SCARY I KNOW). The two little one got power wheel four wheelers. I don't think they will be walking any were for awhile LOL. They ride them all over the house, only cause its to cold outside right now. It rained all day on Christmas and then finally snowed that evening. That was ok we all stayed in by the fire and played the WII. It was a blast!! The kids really get into the games. Their faces are so funny, they are so intense. The next day was really nice and sunny outside. The only bad thing was we had a snow drift that went all the way up to the bumper of our truck! Robert had to use our neighbors backhoe just to clean it off. It took him like 20 mins just to clean it. He made a huge pile of snow for the kids. The kids had so much fun on it. I think they played outside for hours on that pile of snow. Well now that Christmas is over and its a new year I'm ready to make a new start. My new year goal is to get out more and be more adventurous about life, to be a better mother and wife. I plan on updating myself and my life. I hope everyone can stick to their goals this year and make the best of a new year. Good luck to everyone and keep in touch.
